It was an aha moment, and I thought to myself, ‘duh’. Why didn’t I think of that? Dianne, the event manager at a recent program I facilitated, introduced me as follows: “When we decided to hold our conference at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, we realized we had to try and find a musical team building program to go with our Hard Rock musical motif. So we thought this would be a perfect fit, The Hard Rock and Team Building Through Song. And we were lucky to find Billy Kirsch online.”
I thanked Diane for the introduction and by the time we were wrapping up our event, I was scheming how to pitch this idea to the Hard Rock staff. I couldn’t believe I hadn’t thought of this myself, having been booked for this program in San Diego for about a month. Nevertheless, I seized the moment and arranged a meeting with the Hard Rock sales staff. If you’ve been to the Hard Rock San Diego, you’ll know what a fabulous property it is. I was so impressed. This property is way above average. It’s friendly in that hard-to-find genuine way, that comes from the top down. This is a well-run establishment, and just a fun place to be.
But before this blog post begins to seem like an ad for the hotel, let me cut to the chase. Musical team building is a perfect fit for events at the Hard Rock. It’s a great way to integrate meaningful team building with the musical motif of your environment. I’m going to pitch it whenever I can – it’s a natural.
