Our Nashville
Team Building Programs

There are a lot of options for team building in Nashville. But if you’re planning an event in the Music City you definitely need to consider music team building.

  • Create, perform and record – We’ll lead you through a step-by-step process as you write your own songs, perform and record them; creating powerful take-aways and lasting memories of what you’ve accomplished. Share ideas, build relationships, tear down walls and tap into your combined creativity.
  • Accessible and fun for everyone – You don’t have to be musical to feel comfortable and participate.  You only have to suspend disbelief and show up. We’ll craft a session that’s relevant, comfortable and successful for you.
  • Multiple locations – We facilitate our programs at hotels, conference centers, entertainment venues and legendary Nashville recording studios.

While music is the common theme of all our programs, we have several variations to ensure that we can meet the needs of almost every group. So whether you’re planning an event in Nashville for 10 people or 2,000 people, we have programs that work well.

  • Program choices – Our programs include large group team building, small group team building, interactive keynote sessions, conference energizersicebreakers and drumming events.
  • Group sizes – From 5 to 5,000 participants,
  • Timing – From thirty minutes to full day events.
  • Everyone Can Do This! We hear all the time from prospective clients that they can’t sing, or that their company is made up of ‘introverts’ who may not want to participate. But our programs aren’t intimidating. No one will be put on the spot. Engagement and participation evolve naturally. It’s not forced – and yet everyone will be drawn in.
  • Our team of hit songwriters have won Country Music Association Awards and Academy of Country Music Awards. We have Grammy nominations and Tony Award nominations to our credit. We bring this expertise and experience to our programs – but most importantly, we bring enthusiasm and passion to every client program.

We help you tell your unique story as you create fun and original songs about the work you do. By the time your songs are complete, you’ll be singing along and proud of it.

Why Music Matters in
Nashville

Nashville’s musical roots run deep, starting with the spirituals of Fisk Jubilee Singers in the 1800s, who became the first touring act to spread American music globally. The city’s early 20th century embraced radio and birthed the legendary Grand Ole Opry, solidifying Nashville’s association with country music.

With stars like Hank Williams and Johnny Cash, Nashville became a haven for country artists, attracting songwriters and producers, all working together to create the unique “Nashville Sound.” Today, while country music remains a cornerstone, Music City embraces a wider range of genres, solidifying its reputation as a center for popular music.

Nashville Team Building in Groups

  • As with all our events, we begin with an introduction by our hit songwriters to create context and draw people in.
  • Then we break everyone into teams. Each team is led by one of our songwriter-facilitators and that’s key to keeping people engaged. Each team creates a song. We start with questions such as, “What do you do…or How do you contribute to your organization’s success” We explain rules of brainstorming – there are no bad ideas, no judgment, so everyone feels comfortable contributing. Facilitators play melodies and keep the atmosphere in the room relaxed, fun and inclusive. Ideas flow through the room as we identify possible song titles or ‘hooks’ that emerge from the group brainstorming.
  • We choose song titles and write the choruses encompassing the big ideas & themes. There’s always lots of interaction and laughter as participants take their ideas and make them rhyme with the previous ideas. We then create our song verses.
  • As teams complete their masterpieces, they record their songs and get ready for team performances. Participants can play shakers, tambourines, sing and more.
  • We all gather back in the main room for performances. This is a highlight and always fun as teams take the stage to show off and compete for awards.
  • Even the introverts will have forgotten they didn’t want to participate. You’ll be part of a group, you’ll be proud of what you’ve done and you’ll be led by a talented songwriter performer who will give you confidence and help you feel comfortable on stage.
  • After the event: Audio recordings and lyric downloads of all your songs.

A songwriting event is a natural when you’re considering team building in Nashville. After all, don’t you want to make music in Music City!

General Sessions or Keynotes

  • This interactive songwriting program works for groups up to a few thousand people. And it’s also great for groups staring at about 100 people and up.
  • We kick-off our session with an entertaining introduction and a performance by our hit songwriter-facilitators. The mood among your group will transition from “Yikes, what am I being dragged into” to “Woah, this is actually going to be great”.
  • After our program introduction, our songwriter-leaders move throughout the crowd as we get everyone involved. We’ll ask questions to get ideas flowing as themes and lyric suggestions fill video screens in the room. Participants share ideas via microphones. For large groups, we also use an audience response app to ensure that there’s plenty of hands-on engagement.
  • Everyone has an opportunity to contribute as we lead small group work within the larger session. You’ll work together and then share your ideas back with the entire group as your song takes shape.
  • We provide opportunities for participants to come forward during song performance to play tambourine, percussion, sing backing vocals and more, but there is never pressure to perform.
  • When the song is complete everyone joins in as we sing and record
  • Audio recordings of your song will be available after your event.

Small Groups

If this all seems like a big deal, we want you to know that we often work with small groups. While you might think you’d be uncomfortable with no place to hide, we pride ourselves on keeping things real, accessible and fun for all different personality types.

Small groups provide both unique opportunity and unique challenge. There’s opportunity for a high level of engagement from everyone on your team. And the challenge is helping everyone feel like they’re being heard and honored in a safe setting. We’re experts at ensuring small group dynamics have an easy, comfortable flow in which everyone will walk away feeling confident and inspired.
