I know that’s a broad title for a blog article. But lately that’s the way I feel, like I’m on a big adventure. I think I’m in LA today, or was that last week? Oh yeah it’s been both, with Duluth, MN in between. Yes, I’ve been home too – and all I can think of is, “Yikes, I’ve created a monster”. It’s time for me to think about and to work on strategic growth, and that’s a good thing. But how did I get here?
From Dreams to Concrete
When I lead a team building program for a client, I talk about what it means to be innovative, to make time to brainstorm, to invent and discard, to create, share and follow an idea until it can live and be implemented. I firmly believe the most important ingredient to all of this is personal passion. Actually, personal passion combined with tenacity. To be successful, you can’t have one without the other. If you have a passion for something you need to follow it. Simple…if you have a passion for something you need to follow it. Life is too short to not follow your passion. Innovative ideas have never been implemented without a passionate, committed team behind the ideas; to drive them from drawing board to reality.
My Team Building Adventure
A little over three years ago I committed to team building through song full time. My tenacity, driven by a bit of personal passion guided me through some lean times as I transitioned from hit songwriter to facilitator/small business person.
