Our Team Building Chicago Program

Our team building Chicago program last week at the Renaissance Chicago downtown was really memorable, and in a good way! We led a group of 125 attorneys from across the globe through our music team building program. This international group was comprised of people who spoke many different languages, brought together by an alliance of services they offer in human resource law. I love when we have the opportunity to work with global companies because we get to prove the power of music as a universal language. Music is a great leveler, allowing people of different seniority and different experience to work as peers. And sometimes hierarchy gets stood on it’s head, as junior team members with musical experience get… Continue Reading

Team Building Detroit

Music and the Motor City go hand in hand. So it’s a natural fit when we get to facilitate our team building Detroit program. We recently led the sales team for our client, Logicalis, through an interactive musical program that included two hundred and fifty people sharing ideas to create a song about the work they do. Here’s how it works. Our Client’s Goals Provide an activity that enables everyone to interact and have fun together Utilize the talents of our client’s musical employees Reinforce the conference theme of transformation There’s real value in taking time to have fun as a team. It boosts a sense of belonging and increases engagement. At our team building Detroit event, everyone in the… Continue Reading

Atlanta Team Building

The second week of 2015 found us headed south for a fun Atlanta Team Building event. We worked with a leadership group from SunTrust commercial real estate. This team of leaders comes together every year to focus, align goals and get charged up for the year ahead. As a follow up to last year’s drumming program, our Atlanta team building provided a motivational kick-off in which everyone came together to create a song about their vision and shared experience. Meeting Our Client’s Goals Our client wanted to get attendees energized for the conference by kicking it off with a inclusive, and energetic presentation. They wanted to have fun and do something creative and physically engaging They wanted to provide continuity… Continue Reading

Denver Team Building

We opened 2015 with a great Denver Team Building event. IHS Automotive recently acquired Polk. This new team of leaders wanted an out-of-the-box program that would enable their recently formed unit to share quality time and better envision who they are. There are growing pains when one company acquires another. Our Denver team building program provided a wonderful setting for people from across the globe to mix, mingle, make music and work together. Meeting Our Client’s Goals Our client wanted to find a fun and engaging way to reinforce the transformational themes that were being introduced. They wanted people to get out of their comfort zone and discover common ideology and vision. A primary objective was to create an environment… Continue Reading

Music Team Building in Baltimore

Baltimore is in our event rotation. It’s a destination city with a wonderful downtown waterfront harbor area that attracts corporate meetings and conventions. I always enjoy the opportunity to lead our music team building Baltimore programs and to spend time in that great city. So I was excited when Sodexo asked us to work with their Offer Development team in November. Team Building Client Goals The Sodexo Offer Development group wanted to find an interactive icebreaker program that would speak to the challenges required of a team focused on creativity and innovation. They wanted to provide an experience that would help a newly formed team bond in a short period of time, keeping everyone together, yet providing plenty of interaction.… Continue Reading

Music Team Building Indianapolis

Songwriter Rusty Tabor drove north from Nashville, I drove south from Chicago, and we met for our music team building Indianapolis program to work with eighty supply chain leaders from Cummins. arCapa, a business leadership consulting and coaching company based in Indianapolis, brought us in as part of a day-long session with this corporate group from Cummins. The event was held at IvyTech Community College. They have a great facility with conference and event space. Our Client’s Goals Reinforce and create cohesiveness Have fun and re-energize the team Explore and define mission and message Whether it’s music team building Indianapolis, or in other locations, our first step is to align our program with our client’s goals. Cummins wanted to provide… Continue Reading

Music Team Building in Nashville

Talk about good press. Nashville’s been featured as the It City in 2014 in so many publications. And our music team building Nashville programs have doubled this year. I like to brag about our worldwide footprint and how we travel the globe delivering our team building programs, but it’s been really nice to have so many opportunities this year to make music in Music City! We’ve recently led programs for Piedmont Natural Gas, Owen Graduate School at Vanderbilt University, the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the community based Arts & Business Council of Greater Nashville. Upcoming are programs for PeerNet, National Lifespan Respite Coalition and the Association of Otolaryngology Administrators. Yes, will will be able to rhyme Otolaryngology with something!… Continue Reading

Fun Team Building

As soon as I saw the thumbnail from this video I knew I had to write a blog around the image. Title: Fun team building. What else could it be?!? And how well the picture and video below communicate the intense fun had by all at our recent program for the Owen Graduate School of Business at Vanderbilt University. As part of orientation, Owen staff thought it would be a natural to welcome students to Music City by having them make music themselves. Table groups broke into teams, with each team creating lyrics to a well-known melody. With twelve teams working separately, yet sharing the same ballroom, spontaneous laughter broke out from all corners and the energy level intensified as… Continue Reading

Team Building Drumming In Chicago

It’s fun, it’s scary and it’s thrilling when we try something new that comes out better than expected. Our team building drumming in Chicago, for Boehringer Ingelheim at the Swissotel, was all of the above. Part of this client’s goals were to challenge everyone to try something new. But this team building drumming program had other important elements that made it unique. These elements make up what we call our drum song program. When we led this corporate drumming program we brought it beyond the visceral aspect of simply banging on the drums, although that’s quite fun. We put together a program based on Boehringer Ingelheim’s goals for their Oncology Franchise conference. Team Building Drumming In Chicago Goals Bring members… Continue Reading

Nashville Team Building Event is a WIN

The Nashville team building event I led at the end of May was truly a WIN. WIN stands for Women In Numbers, a nonpartisan organization established to engage, encourage and endorse qualified women to be elected to public office. As a junior board member of this organization, I well know the dynamics, dedication, and powerful personalities that make up both our senior and junior boards, but we don’t often get a chance to mingle and get to know each other. This Nashville team building event presented a challenge; to help all of us coalesce around a unified message, to have fun, and get to know one another better. Nashville Team Building Event Goals Bonding and relationship building within the board… Continue Reading
