Client Reviews

Whether you’re planning a team building event in Washington DC for 20 people or a conference session for 2,000 people, we’ve got you covered. All of our client engagements are customized to meet your goals and appeal to your constituents.
- Program choices – Our programs include large group team building, small group sessions, interactive keynote sessions, conference energizers, icebreakers and drumming events.
- Timing – From thirty minutes to half-day events.
- Everyone Can Do This! We hear all the time from prospective clients that they can’t sing, or that their company is made up of ‘introverts’ who may not want to participate. But our programs aren’t intimidating. No one will be put on the spot. Engagement and participation evolve naturally.
- Our team of award-winning songwriters brings expertise, experience and passion to all of our programs. We’ve won CMA awards and have garnered Grammy and Tony Award nominations. But most importantly, we lead every program with enthusiasm, creativity, and a personal touch.
Washington, D.C., is the heart of American history and culture, but it also has a thriving and diverse music scene. From jazz and go-go music to rock and classical performances at the Kennedy Center, the city has long celebrated the power of music and song to bring people together.
Music has played a key role in social movements, national celebrations, and cultural expression in the nation’s capital. This makes D.C. the perfect setting for a group program that harnesses the energy of music to inspire creativity and strengthen connections.

Washington DC Team Building Through Song
- Prior to your program, we’ll work with you to understand your goals and to learn more about who you are.
- We kick off your program with an entertaining introduction that will draw people in, creating relevancy and context for our creative session.
- After our introduction, we break into teams. Each team will craft a song based on their shared experience. We explain rules of brainstorming – there are no bad ideas, no judgment, so everyone feels comfortable contributing. There’s no such thing as a bad idea and everyone is honored for whatever they come up with. Ideas flow as we identify possible song titles or ‘hooks’ that emerge from the group brainstorming.
- We choose song titles and write the choruses encompassing the big ideas & themes. There’s always lots of interaction and laughter as participants take their ideas and make them rhyme with the previous ideas. We then create our song verses.
- When the songs are finished each team records their creation and then gets ready for team performances. Teams are encouraged to use percussion instruments, air guitars and more. No one will be singled out and there are roles for both introverts and extroverts!
- Team performances with awards – everyone participates, both competing yet cheering the other teams.
- After the event: Audio recordings and lyric downloads of all your songs.
Our Washington DC team building provides opportunity to do something you probably haven’t done before; an out-of-the-box experience that will help you celebrate team success.
General Sessions or Keynotes
- This conference song session works for groups up to a few thousand people. It’s also great for groups staring at about 100 people.
- Prior to the event we work with you to understand your group dynamics and target specific goals.
- We introduce the program: “Good afternoon! We’ve worked with Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Air Supply and more; we’ve written hit songs you’ve all heard. Today we have a special treat we’re very excited about, ‘Your Song’. We’re going to create a song together that celebrates the great work you all do.”
- We perform the music to your song and begin group participation – there are no bad ideas, no judgment, so everyone feels comfortable contributing. Our songwriter-facilitators move throughout the room. Ideas flow as participants come up with song theme ideas and share them.
- Everyone shares ideas via wireless microphones. For large groups, we also use an audience response app to ensure that there’s plenty of hands-on engagement.
- Throughout the process we move from large group work to small group work – Melding individual and small team input into our finished creation that represents a unified vision. There’s plenty of opportunity for small groups to work together and then share back with the larger group.
- We provide opportunities for participants to come forward during song performance to play tambourine, percussion or sing backing vocals and more, but there is never pressure to perform
- When the song is complete everyone joins in as we sing and record.
- Audio recordings of your song will be available after your event.
We’ve led this program at many DC area conferences, from medical associations to large international gatherings of NGO’s.
Small Groups
We often work with small groups. In fact, we pride ourselves on bringing a special sensitivity and awareness to the dynamics of small group work.
Small groups provide both unique opportunity and unique challenge. There’s opportunity for a high level of engagement from everyone on your team. But there’s no place to hide! So we’ve become adept at helping everyone to feel comfortable.
Smaller teams have very flexible requirements and lots of venue options. For example, you can hold your event in a recording studio or at one of Washington’s many great performance venues. This works well at your offices or at your hotel in a meeting room. Both our songwriting program and our drumming program are optimal for small sessions.
Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to see how we can work with you.
