Finding effective team building activities for large teams is tricky. No matter what you do, you won’t have the same level of individual engagement with a group of 500 versus a group of five…but you knew that! This doesn’t mean you can’t find great programs for your large group. But you should have realistic goals to find a good match. When clients reach out to me asking about team building activities for large teams, they’re most often looking for a less boring keynote session or a conference icebreaker. I’ve developed a program that goes way beyond less boring. Here at Kidbilly Music, we’ve found a way to deliver interactive, fast paced large group sessions that are not only fun, they’re productive.
How We Do It
What can you find that’s a common denominator, something that everyone in a large group can relate to? Music. Even if you don’t consider yourself a musical person, you have favorite songs and musical experience that’s part of the fabric of your life. What else does everyone share? Story. We all have stories that make up who we are. And every organization, be it a corporation, a non-profit or an association, has a story that makes it unique. Songs tell stories. We combine the power of music, story and song to create a fast paced, interactive session that touches everyone in the room.

Hundreds of people working together to create and perform ‘Your Song’.
The mechanics of our team building activities for large teams
- No one is put on the spot, but there are opportunities for participants to perform. With our band on stage and our hit-songwriters moving throughout the crowd, it’s easy to get involved. We start by asking simple questions; allowing everyone to ease into group participation in a genuine way.
- There’s lots of engagement as ideas are shared and lyrics are projected overhead.
- You’ll create a powerful take-away, Your Song. And when the song is complete, your entire group will perform and record it. Imagine everyone on their feet, singing, playing and celebrating your group experience through song.
Effective team building activities for large teams?…Yes indeed.
