Nashville Team Building Ideas

It’s fun and it’s scary to revisit old creative work. Creativity is an ongoing process and anytime I revisit an old song I want to change it. But my thoughts about the best Nashville team building ideas haven’t changed since I originally wrote this blog post several years ago. It was the beginning of the middle, as our program, Team Building Through Song® found it’s legs and also it’s wings. We traveled to Los Angeles, Duluth, Minnesota and then off to Montreux, Switzerland. And like a good country song, we’ve been careful to remember our roots as we’ve grown into a worldwide musical team building company. Our roots are based in the songwriting tradition unique to Nashville. We’re able to use unparallelled facilitators with our team of hit songwriters who love the opportunity to help corporate groups and non-profits create songs in a fun, interactive program.

Nashville team building ideas are in demand because Nashville continues to be a hot destination. Lately, when I mention we’re based in Nashville, people don’t immediately ask me if I like ‘country & western’ music (that antiquated label). People mention that their favorite alt-rock artist or author is based in Nashville, or that they’ve heard about the major films and TV shows being produced here.

The Best Nashville Team Building Ideas

Of course using songwriting as a team building activity isn’t the only option when you’re in Nashville. If you’re looking for other Nashville team building ideas, there are non-musical options. In fact, there’s a great company called, Adventure Works. It’s run by my friend Jennifer Halverson. Adventure Works specializes in ropes courses and zip lines; they deliver out of the office/out of the box fun, challenge and teamwork that helps build communication and trust. And line dancing at the Wildhorse Saloon, although it sounds kind of tacky, is actually so well facilitated that it’s great group fun. I’ve seen many buttoned up corporate types, cut loose and have fun on the dance floor.

But bottom line for me – is if you’re going to plan an event in Music City and you’re thinking of songwriting…why wouldn’t you do this?
